FAQ About EAUN20

It is with great regret that the Board of the European Association of Urology Nurses announced the cancellation of the postponed 21st Annual EAUN Congress on 18-20 July 2020. Since public health safety measures in relation to COVID-19 are in place worldwide, raising many concerns among our community, it is felt that a face-to-face meeting in July is not possible. The safety of our congress participants and the healthcare community as a whole has our highest priority.

Please find below the answers to your frequently-asked questions:

Virtual Meeting and abstracts

Will there be a virtual meeting to replace EAUN20?

EAUN20 will not be held online. However, the EAU has developed a virtual congress to feature the highlights of the EAU20 scientific programme. EAUN20 delegates will have free access to all EAU20 scientific content and to the virtual meeting and Theme Week. More information can be found on www.eau20.org.

Can I wait and present my accepted abstract next year at EAUN21?
All abstracts accepted for EAUN20 will be published in the EAUN20 resource centre and in June you will receive an invitation to publish your abstract in the International Journal of Urological Nursing. Alternatively, it is possible to withdraw your accepted abstract for EAUN20 and submit it again (updated or not updated) for the EAUN21 meeting. To withdraw your abstract please send an e-mail to: s.rutten@congressconsultants.com.

The EAUN21 abstract submission process will proceed as scheduled, with the submission period opening in July 2020.


Will I receive a refund of my registration fee?

All registration fees (including fees for ESU courses etc) will be refunded. Please allow us some time to process all refunds over the coming months.

If you paid for your registration with a credit card, you will automatically be reimbursed and you do not need to contact us.

If you paid for your registration with a bank transfer, please complete this form and send it to registrations@congressconsultants.com. Please be sure to fill it out completely and include your EAUN20 registration number at the top.

Will the EAUN refund charges for cancelling flights?

Charges for cancelling flights will not be refunded by the EAUN. We advise you to contact your travel agency or airline as soon as possible. Many airlines decided to be very flexible regarding flight changes due to the current situation. You could also check with your insurance company if you can claim the costs for cancelling with them.

Hotel Accommodation

Who should I contact with regards to my hotel accommodation?

If you booked your hotel accommodation for EAUN20 via the official EAU Housing agency K.I.T. Group you may contact eau2020hotels@kit-group.org for assistance. They are currently working on processing the cancellations for the initial March dates. As these are unprecedented times for all parties, this process can, unfortunately, take some time.

If you booked your accommodation directly with a hotel or other booking platform, please contact the hotel, booking platform or travel agency that you used for the booking.

Will the EAUN refund accommodation?

Charges for re-booking or cancelling of hotel accommodation will not be refunded by the EAUN. We advise you to contact the hotel or booking agency you used, or alternatively your insurance company to check if you can claim the costs for rescheduling or rebooking with them.
