Sustainability
Below are some examples of the steps already being taken today:
Going paperless
We are committed to reducing paper waste by maximising the use of digital solutions:
- Utilising the venue’s digital options and existing signage
- Printing materials without specific years to enable future reuse
- Expanding our event App to replace traditional programme books
- Using E-Posters instead of printed materials
- Minimising printed materials distributed on-site
Sustainable catering
We are taking steps to ensure responsible food and beverage practices:
- Water fountains placed throughout the Exhibition area to reduce bottled water waste
- Donating leftover food to shelters and food banks
Greener travel & transport
- We encourage sustainable travel choices such as public transport, trains etc
- Providing free public transportation passes to attendees
Eco-friendly venue & waste management
We are improving waste reduction and recycling:
- Clearly labelled recycling and compost bins throughout the venue
- Waste separation, including bag inserts and general waste streams
Recycling & reuse
We prioritise reusability and biodegradable materials:
- Using biodegradable meeting bags
- Repurposing booth materials for future congresses
- Adopting printed, non-laminated meeting badges without plastic holders
Sustainability in our office
Our commitment extends beyond the meeting itself:
- Digital document management and administration to reduce paper use
- Staff use of reusable water bottles
- Opportunities to work from home and cut down on commuting
By making these conscious choices, we aim to create a more sustainable and responsible congress experience. Join us in our efforts to protect the planet!
